A little bit about the owner…

 

KACYBELLES came to be from 1 little free spirit trying to make a difference while creating something beautiful. I upcycle recovered sweaters into elaborate sweater coats. I am an artist, a mother and a lover of all the beauty this life has to offer. While I specialize in the Sweater Coat I like to diddle with other fun projects from hoodies, skirts and bellbottoms to arm warmers and throw pillows. As these pieces are “upcycled” they are each one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.

UPCYCLING has been an amazing ride for me. I try to find the poor, little ugliest sweaters that someone has discarded and set to work in hopes of creating that piece that will be the “gem” in someone elses eye.

RECYCLING is important to me…important for all of us. I try to do my own small part by recycling my papers, plastics, glass, even my sweater scraps. GIVING BACK…I believe that anything you do that can put a smile on another being’s face makes you a hero. To live in love is to give of oneself. Since my gift is sewing, I will donate 1 handmade blanket to East Tennessee Childrens Hospital for every Sweater Coat purchase made. If this brings joy to just 1 sick child, my work is done.
